IT Risk & Compliance Analyst

Michael has worked at Virginia Tech since 2020 and joined the IT Security Office in June, 2023. Prior to joining the IT Security Office, Michael served as a Cloud Systems Administrator with Collaborative Computing Solutions within the Division of IT. With CCS he specialized in various aspects of the Microsoft M365 and Google workspaces with a focus on Improved Endpoint Protection and Data Loss Prevention. Previous to this, he served as the Information Systems Specialist for the Virginia Tech Police Department, Rescue, Emergency Management, and the Office of Safety and Security. Michael is working towards a Master's Degree in Information Technology with a specialization in cyber security from Virginia Tech and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Averett University.
