Lead Penetration Tester and Security Researcher

Caeland graduated from Vanderbilt's cyber security and ethical hacking program in 2020. Before graduating he had already accepted and started his first role as a Network Security Penetration Tester and GRC Analyst for a private cyber security firm. He brought the experience and technical expertise of Penetration Testing and Security Risk assessment when he accepted the Role of Lead Penetration Tester and Security Researcher for the ITSO department in November of 2022. In this role, he is working with the ITSO to build a penetration testing program to offer penetration tests and security assessments to the entire Virginia Tech IT infrastructure.
